– The show opened with Stephanie McMahon returning, and The Authority announcing “Seth Rollins, Architect of a Dream,” a tribute to Rollins. They discussed the Intercontinental Championship and were interrupted by Sheamus. Ryback interrupted as well, and Ryback vs. Sheamus was made as the night’s opening match.

1. Sheamus defeated Ryback. Sheamus’ eye was injured, so the referee pulled Ryback away. Sheamus used the distraction to hit a Brogue Kick on Ryback and win the match.

2. King Barrett defeated Neville. Before the match, Neville was interviewed by Renee Young. They were interrupted by Bo Dallas. Neville acknowledged their history in NXT, so Bo attacked. Neville’s knee was injured, so he was unable to hit his signature moves throughout the match. Barrett capitalized and hit the Bullhammer for the win. Bo continued the attack after the match.

– Rusev officially banished Lana for explaining that he said “I quit” in Bulgarian during the finish of the I Quit match at Payback.

3. Bray Wyatt defeated Dean Ambrose. J&J Security interfered, pushing Ambrose off the ropes into a Sister Abigail from Wyatt.

4. Cesaro and Tyson Kidd defeated The New Day. Xavier Woods was banned from ringside. Cesaro and Kidd won by DQ when Big E and Kofi wouldn’t stop stomping Kidd. After the match, Woods ran out to attack. That brought out the other teams in the upcoming tag team championship Elimination Chamber match: The Lucha Dragons, Los Matadores, The Ascension and The Prime Time Players.

– John Cena’s U.S. Open Challenge was answered by NXT Champion Kevin Owens. Owens claimed that Cena had nothing to do with Sami Zayn’s injury, and that he had injured him before their match. Cena put his hand over Zayn’s heart and said Owens had none. Owens refused Cena’s U.S. title challenge, but still kicked him in the gut and laid him out with a pop-up powerbomb. Owens stood on the U.S. title and held the NXT Championship over his head.

5. Dolph Ziggler defeated Stardust. Ziggler won a quick match with the Zig Zag. After the match, Michael Cole interviewed Ziggler and announced him as one of the participants in the Intercontinental Championship Elimination Chamber match. Lana came to the ring and kissed Ziggler twice, for some reason. That brought out an irate Rusev, who attacked Ziggler. Lana slapped him, and Rusev got madder. Ziggler dropped him with a Zig Zag before anything could happen, and left with Lana.

6. Erick Rowan and Luke Harper defeated Fandango and Zack Ryder. Rowan pinned Fandango after a full nelson slam.

7. Divas Championship Match: Nikki Bella (c) defeated Naomi. Stephanie McMahon prohibited Brie Bella from being at ringside, saying she needed counseling for her emotional state. Nikki had the match won with a Rack Attack, but was superkicked by Tamina, drawing a DQ. After the match, Paige returned to make the save. After Nikki was safe, Paige hit her with the Rampaige.

– Kevin Owens will face John Cena for the United States Championship at Elimination Chamber.

– The Authority honored Seth Rollins. They were interrupted by Dean Ambrose, who wanted a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at Elimination Chamber. Ambrose and Rollins brawled, and Ambrose revealed a pile of cinder blocks. He held Rollins down on the blocks until The Authority agreed to give him the match. J&J Security and Kane attacked, allowing Rollins a chance to flee. The Ambrose vs. Authority fight continued, and Rollins was able to return to the ring and incapacitate Ambrose with a Pedigree.
