Breathe A Sigh Of Relief, Because Finn Balor’s Surgery Was A Success

Remember when most WWE news stories didn’t center around people getting injured or updates from their successful surgeries? Naw, man. Me neither. After WWE seemed to pull out of its rash of injuries with the returns of people like Randy Orton, Cesaro, John Cena, and now Nikki Bella, it seems like we’re right back in it. Poor Finn Balor went down in history as the first person to hold the brand new WWE Universal Championship after a hard-fought victory against fellow fragile boy Seth Rollins. He wouldn’t get to enjoy the title for long, however, when it was revealed that he got injured during the match. Balor was then forced to vacate the title and undergo surgery on his injured shoulder.

Both Finn and WWE posted these encouraging updates on Finn’s surgery:

Finn’s injury was pretty severe, more severe than normal. A really high energy injury, it did more damage than a standard shoulder dislocation where you simply tear the labrum. The prognosis is excellent, however. We were able to fix it all and put it back where it came from. I’m anticipating him getting back at full speed. – Dr. Jeffrey Dugas via WWE.com

While Finn’s injury is disappointing, it’s almost guaranteed that his return will set up one baller feud against Rollins. Let’s just hope it happens sooner rather than later.
