Back in January, former WWE Divas Champion and Total Divas star Nikki Bella had neck surgery to repair career-threatening injuries and was reportedly told that she’d never wrestle again. As it turns out, Bella’s seeking a second opinion.
During a Facebook live chat to promote the upcoming season finale of Total Divas — which, if you’ll remember, we might be calling Total Bellas soon — Nikki said there’s a chance she’ll be back in the ring again after all, and it could be as soon as the summer.
The quote:
“So as of now I’m hoping to make my comeback in the summer. In June or July is when I’ll get my final CAT scan on my neck and as long as my bone is fused in my neck that means that I could probably come back and wrestle and I cannot wait. So fingers crossed for me, June or July.”
Bella’s most recent appearance on WWE TV was during the celebration of her sister Brie’s victory on the WrestleMania 32 kickoff show. Brie referred to that as her “last night” in the company but has since clarified that she meant “for a while,” so if you’re a fan of the Bella Twins, there’s still technically still a chance you’ll see them in the ring together again.
