The last time we saw WWE legend The Undertaker, he was being kidnapped and having his “soul harvested” for power by Bray Wyatt and the Wyatt Family. The payoff to that was that he was totally fine, and nothing had actually happened. It was … underwhelming.
We’re knee-deep in WrestleMania season, however, and WrestleMania season is where The Undertaker is a Viking. A few weeks ago, we shared a clip of 50-year-old ‘Taker deadlifting more than 400 pounds — deadlifting, get it? — and if these recent updates from his wife and former WWE Diva Michelle McCool’s Instagram are any indication, the man’s looking better than he has in years. He’s looking better than most people have looked in years:
Did upper body #shockandawe from @defrancosgym & @smittydiesel program! Hit 100 s shoulder lay raises, 100 biceps curls, 100 triceps extensions all for time! Threw in 100 25lb Russian twists & "thunderstruck" as my finisher! Haven't tried it? Play thunderstruck by AC/DC…..do a burpee (or sprawl….just don't compromise form) EVERY time you hear the word THUNDER!!! #justafewofourtimes #shockthesystem #smallgymnoproblem #geterdone #CPPS #CalacoolFit 💪🏻💗👊🏻
It’s also a great source for info on how Undertaker maintains a zombie persona despite wearing gym shorts 24/7 and going to the beach all the time:
Whoever ends up facing The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32 will have a lot to deal with, and it’s great to see ‘Taker’s health and apparent well-being increase following that iffy period around Mania 30. Maybe we’ll get that match with Sting one day after all.
