WWE Is Telling Cable Providers That Four Hours Won’t Be Enough For WrestleMania 32

Where did the time go? We’re now less than two weeks away from WrestleMania in Dallas, and the final spots on the card have pretty much been filled. We’ve got a world heavyweight championship match where everyone kind of wants the bad guy to win, a 7-way ladder match for the Intercontinental title that should really just be between the two Canadian guys, and a Ryback match that no one really asked for (except Ryback’s parents, I’m assuming).

At the very least, it’ll be an interesting evening that appears to be stuffed to the gills. In fact, it might be a little bit overstuffed, because the WON is reporting in their daily update that WWE has been asking pay-per-view providers for more time than the FOUR HOURS they’ve already been allotted.

“WWE informed Sky Italy, which will carry WrestleMania on PPV, that the show will go five to 20 minutes past the hour so it will be longer than the usual four hour main show.”

It should really be no surprise that the concept of trimming the fat is somewhat foreign to WWE, a company that usually manages to make three hours of Monday Night Raw feel like the approximate length of Moses’s journey through the desert.

Still, I guess it’s better safe than sorry. You don’t want a Halloween Havoc 1998 scenario where the actual event goes longer than the broadcast. Can you imagine if they had to show Roman Reigns vs. Triple H for free the next night on Raw? In any event, I’m sure there’s a segment or two they can cut. Just to be safe, let’s place Flo Rida under house arrest so he doesn’t show up to emasculate the Social Outcasts or lose another rap battle. There, I just freed up five minutes.
