Dallas Mavericks 121, Oklahoma City Thunder 112 (Series: 1-0 DAL)
Hoo boy, did you guys catch that game of HORSE between Dirk Nowitzki and Kevin Durant last night? Dirk dropped 48 points, and set a NBA record with 24 consecutive free throws to start the game, to perhaps insinuate that he’s a bit fired up for these Western Conference Finals. Durant scored 40 but couldn’t strap a large enough load to his back to make up for Russell Westbrook’s 3-15 shooting effort. Sure, Westbrook had 20 points by hitting 14 of 18 free throws, but the Mavs got a combined 45 points from Jason Terry and J.J. Barea, who was lights out from the floor. The Thunder were within 6 points with less than 3 minutes left in the game, but Durant just couldn’t do it by himself.
Tonight’s Prediction: Heat over Bulls by A LOT because of this…
