Not Sure What We're Supposed To Be Witnessing At This Point

One day I may get tired of writing about pro wrestling. I might get tired of putting up pictures of Kate Upton in her underwear and I might stop thinking mascots are funnier than most, but I will never, ever get tired of watching and showcasing videos about LeBron James being worse at basketball than children.

The latest masterpiece comes to us from Friday’s Taiwanese All-Star event in Taipei. LeBron gets the ball stripped from him (pretty easily, it looks like), so the kid takes the ball down and dunks on him. On the next possession LeBron throws the ball away (and travels, which LeBron still thinks is synonymous with “dribbling”). Second later, another kid drains a three over him like it’s nothing. The obvious talking point is that this is a promotional tour (part of what Nike is calling China Tour 2011) so it is not pressing or important for LeBron to try hard and win basketball games, but these videos added to Playoff LeBron are painting a beautiful offseason tapestry of futility. LeBron’s next stops are in Chengdu, Xian, and Shanghai over the next six days, and I’m hoping there are Monstars-quality children waiting to (Far) East Bay Funk him and make him look bad.
