We are all still feeling the effects of the crossover that changed the world, and on Wednesday night Drake offered one plausible explanation for his classic reaction to Stephen Curry’s unforgettable play on Chris Paul from Tuesday night in the Warriors’ 110-106 win over the Clippers.
Drake believes the crossover has some sort of Marvel Comics-like power, and this leads me to believe that Steph Curry is either an X-Men character or an Inhuman depending on which story arc you’re following and whether or not we are currently all inside a Fox property or a Marvel property.
He wrote on Instagram that “I don’t even remember doing any of this because that behind the back cross froze time.”
I’m inclined to believe Drake. He knows something most of us don’t in the first place. All his songs become hits. Everyone he works with becomes famous somehow. All of his favorite teams are playing in the Final Four. His favorite team wins the NBA title every year. If anything, Drake might be a member of the X-Men (or an Inhuman) also. So he might just be sharing insider secrets with us commoners.
I just hope he, and Curry, and anyone else with that power decides to use it for good and not evil.
