‘America’s Funniest Home Videos’ Celebrated 500 Episodes With Their One Millionth Groin Hit (And The Morning Links)

Television history was made last night, in the form of a dude getting hit in the nuts on America’s Funniest Home Videos, or AFV, for the one millionth time. The milestone was achieved in the show’s 500th episode, which was the first episode of AFV I’ve seen since Bob Saget left in 1997 — much to my dismay, new host Tom Bergeron, Anthony Bourdain’s straight-edge brother, doesn’t do little girl voices. As for the specifics of the one millionth groin shot, it involved a grown man playing with remote control cars, and — wait for it — one of them hit him in the NUTS. Classic comedy, though I’m disappointed the milestone didn’t involve a dog and/or tire swing.

A picture of the achievement and an exclusive video can be seen below.
