Just who did Marcellus Wiley think he was checking here? That’s Zach LaVine, the 20-year-old who singlehandedly brought back the dunk contest at All-Star Weekend in February. Did the SportsNation host really think that the Minnesota Timberwolves guard would try to shake him before launching?
No way. LaVine hunts posters, and he just picked up one of his best yet.
The scary part, of course, is that this epic slam seems possible for a high-flier of his caliber in real game competition. Considering he’s already working to improve his vertical, let’s just say we wouldn’t be surprised if LaVine duplicated it on some helpless big man next season.
