It’s probably dumb to talk about the season finale of a show that hasn’t even premiered yet, but: BRYAN CRANSTON WILL GUEST STAR ON “ARCHER” AS AN ASTRONAUT FOR THE SHOW’S TWO-PART FINALE. I’ve been waiting my whole life to say that sentence (I had a very specific childhood, thank you very much).
According to “Archer” creator and executive producer Adam Reed, Cranston will play Commander Drake, an “earnest, conscientious astronaut” fighting to quell a mutiny on the space platform…Reed also revealed that Jack McBrayer of “30 Rock” and Michael Rooker of “The Walking Dead” will guest in another upcoming episode as the brother of Isis employee Ray Gillette and a corrupt sheriff. It’s been a good week for people we adore guest starring on sitcoms we love, with Paul Rudd and Emma Stone set to appear on “Parks and Recreation” and “30 Rock.” But I think Spaceman Cranston and “Archer” might be the best combination in some time — even better than Idris Elba and Timothy Olyphant on “The Office,” Louis C.K. on “Parks and Rec,” Jon Hamm on “Childrens Hospital,” or Alison Brie on “Hannah Montana.”
For further proof, here is a video of Bryan Cranston roller skating to Queen’s “We Are the Champions”:
