Atlanta Hawks point guard Dennis Schroder is putting in some work at the Hawks’ practice facility over the summer. It’s great to see a young player taking his craft seriously and putting in the hours to hone his fundamentals — what’s that? He’s popping off trick shots from six rows into the bleachers and nailing them? Okay then.
I’m sure this came at the tail end of a long, strenuous workout, but random clowning around will always be more entertaining. I propose a league-wide trick shot contest (a la the Jordan-Bird McDonald’s commercial) to be decided only when the season starts and we have something to actually talk about in the NBA.
