Okay, promise me you won’t freak out here, but Jason Statham — star of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch and The Transporter and The Italian Job and Transporter 2 and Crank and Death Race and Transporter 3 and Crank: High Voltage and The Expendables and The Mechanic and The Expendables 2 and Parker and The Expendables 3 and Spy and Furious 7 and every other good movie ever made — is going to star in a TV series.
The series, a one-hour drama titled Viva la Madness, is based on J.J. Connolly’s book of the same name, which was the follow-up to the novel that eventually became the 2004 Daniel Craig film Layer Cake. Statham is developing with a production company, and it was originally planned as a film, but if we’ve learned anything from Jason Statham’s movies, it’s BOOM POW JUDO CHOP KABOOM NO TIME FOR FOR PLANS.
