When Lance Stephenson gingerly jumps off the floor to attempt a difficult push shot, Blake Griffin is standing with both feet well out of bounds. By the time his teammate releases the ball to shoot, the Los Angeles Clippers superstar has only just begun to move his right foot back toward the court. And as Stephenson’s shot caroms off the rim, Griffin’s right heel is basically still on the baseline.
But no matter. Inopportune space and timing is irrelevant to athletic freaks of this caliber.
Griffin, somehow, comes out of nowhere to finish off his team’s miss with a frighteningly casual two-handed power jam. Just the latest in a long line of wild aerial antics, right? Nothing to see here.
The Clippers’ MVP candidate, by the way, has a ho-hum 24 points and 12 rebounds in his team’s laughably dramatic 94-92 win over the Memphis Grizzlies.
