Netflix has been killing it since it started producing original content in 2012. (Do you remember the days when its subscribers only used the streaming service sparingly and primarily used the service for DVDs? What a sad, dark time.) The site has been setting the bar high for other online subscription service as it continues to win awards and create critically acclaimed content designed for bingeing. And there are tons of shows you should be on the lookout for in the next year, the cumulative running time of which is almost 150 hours. We don’t need jobs or loved ones when we have a new season of Orange Is The New Black, right?
The most recent release is Jessica Jones, a superhero show that finds a unique place in the Marvel universe. If you’re looking for more of a superhero fix, Daredevil will be returning in 2016 along with new series Luke Cage. Gritty dramas Narcos, Longmire, and Bloodline will come back next year as well. Favorites House Of Cards and OITNB return with fourth seasons, along with Unbreakable Kimmy Scmidt and BoJack Horseman. The list goes on and on, and that’s not even including all the original movies and comedy specials premiering. Personally, I’ll just be happy with an improved Arrested Development season five, although right now the bar is pretty low.
What Netflix series are you most looking forward to in the next year?
