Another weekend of college football is in the books. Yesterday saw Les Miles pull the ultimate rabbit out of his hat and save his job, Clemson survived a scare from South Carolina, Ohio State steamrolled Michigan, Alabama beat Auburn again, Florida State held Florida to two points, Oklahoma dropped 58 on Oklahoma State, and Stanford exterminated Notre Dame’s playoff hopes. That said, we scanned the Getty Images archive for the best images from this weekend’s slate of college football games. Here are our favorites.
Les Miles could learn something from Bob Stoops, who was on the hot seat after last season for running what many saw as an outdated offensive attack. Stoops went out and hired Lincoln Riley as offensive coordinator to install his Air Raid offense, and now the Sooners are likely in the Bowl Playoff Series.
