UFC Fight Night 84 And Bellator 150 Live Discussion: The Return Of Anderson Silva (Again)

Hey fight fans. We’ve got a good double-header of MMA action this weekend, so let’s jump into the fights.

FRIDAY

Bellator 150

Holy cow! Look, kids, it’s a Bellator card that isn’t headlined by super old dudes, but with actual title holders and young challengers! Haha, just kidding. Marcos Galvao got sick, so the bantamweight title fight between him and Eduardo Dantas is canceled. Instead, we’ve got Cheick Kongo taking on Vinicius Quieroz. The prelims start at 7:40 p.m. ET online at Bellator.com and the main card is on Spike TV starting at 9 p.m. ET. In addition to the heavyweight bout, we’ve also got the return of the always entertaining David “Caveman” Rickels in lightweight action, and Kendall “Da Spyda” Grove in a middleweight bout.

SATURDAY

UFC Fight Night 84

I’ve got a question, if the event is airing in the mid-afternoon from your perspective, do you have to call it Fight Night? Anyway, UFC really wants people to resubscribe to Fight Pass, so Anderson Silva is fighting Mike Bisping in the main event over in Jolly Olde England. The prelims start at 12:45 p.m. ET. There’s some solid stuff there, like Rustam Khabilov versus Norman Parke at lightweight, and the People’s Main Event of Makwan Amirkhani taking on Mike Wilkinson at featherweight.

The main card will begin at 3 p.m. ET, and it starts with fireworks as Francisco Rivera faces Brad Pickett in bantamweight action. The main event is former middleweight kingpin taking on long-time middleweight bridesmaid, as Anderson “The Spider” Silva faces Michael “The Count” Bisping.

It should be a fun weekend of fights, so join in the Uproxx Sports live discussion!
