HOLY KNOCKOUT! @SteveBosseMMA just shut the lights out on James Te Huna! #UFCBrisbane https://t.co/UvrRfsejFS

We all knew coming into this light heavyweight scrap between James Te-Huna and Steve Bossé that if we blinked, we’d probably miss something incredibly violent. It’s not often that fight-hyperbole actually delivers, but tonight in Brisbane, Australia – it did.
These two men are knockout artists supreme and they didn’t wait to prove it, throwing heavy strikes immediately. It only took 45 seconds for Bossé, a former hockey enforcer, to catch Te-Huna with a gorgeous check hook that put him down and out with Bossé standing over him rather than walking off.
This win for Bossé comes nine months after he was viciously knocked out by Thiago Santos in 29 seconds. Bossé is kill or be killed, and while he is 34-years-old, and has a tough ladder to climb to get into striking distance of the top ten, he is a welcome addition to the UFC’s shallow light heavyweight division. Hell, anyone who can do damage like that can match up with just about anyone. I wouldn’t mind seeing him versus Tom Lawlor, Jimi Manua, or Ilir Latifi. There’s so many good fights for this guy. I say throw him in there with the lions and get see if he survives. It’ll be fun to see.
