The St. Louis Blues are still vying for a spot in the Stanley Cup Final, but if they don’t make it then Troy Brouwer may want to explore a tryout with the Cardinals.
The veteran Blues forward scored an awesome goal during the first period of Monday’s Game 5 against the San Jose Sharks when he batted a puck out of mid-air and past Sharks goaltender Martin Jones. Brouwer’s “shot” looked more like a baseball swing, so I guess this goal is a hockey home run?
It was a great display of hand-eye coordination by Brouwer, who got a whole lot of the puck on the smash as he one-hopped it into the net.
