While a case could be made that a sequel to 2010’s Alice In Wonderland is wholly unnecessary, aside from the fact that the first film made so much money, Alice Through The Looking Glass is coming to theaters this weekend anyway. Hoping to keep the Tim Burton spirit without Tim Burton (but with Burton muses Helena Bonham Carter and Johnny Depp), Through The Looking Glass is attempting to disguise what it lacks in plot with incredible costume and character designs.
Well, the folks at the YouTube channel Disney Style decided to put their skills to the test and transform one woman into five different Through The Looking Glass Characters: The White Queen, The Red Queen, Alice, The Mad Hatter, and Time. As someone who still struggles to match her foundation properly and only just mastered liquid liner, I am in awe. While all the looks are pretty incredible, the mountain of red hair and heart shaped lips of the Red Queen really stand out. Sure, she doesn’t quite exude Helena Bonham Carter’s glower and demanding countenance, but that’s beside the point. Johnny Depp may be pranking people at Disneyland as the Mad Hatter, but this woman could give him a run for his money for sheer authenticity.
