Game of Thrones actor Ian McShane once joked the show is “only tits and dragons,” but HBO is serious about these tits and dragons, you guys. HBO is now taking legal action against PornHub for streaming steamy clips from the series. An HBO representative told The Sun (Warning: nudity at link), “HBO is aware of the issue and is in the process of getting material taken down from PornHub.”
Not coincidentally, PornHub recently released some infographics about the Game of Thrones-related searches on their site, revealing that their traffic dropped 4% during Game of Thrones‘ season six premiere. But don’t worry; they still have 60 million visitors per day, and some of those visitors really love looking for clips of Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), who is the top GoT-related PornHub search. Game of Thrones-related searches increased 370% after the season six premiere, in fact, with Margaery Tyrell (Natalie Dormer) and Shae (Sibel Kekilli) being the second and third most popular searches. Cersei Lannister’s (Lena Headey) walk of shame is also still holding a spot near the top of porn seekers’ hearts, which seems fitting.
Game of Thrones-related PornHub searches are so popular that six million people have recently searched PornHub for clips, compared to 2.5 million people who tuned into the season six premiere. Hmm, that’s a lot of people only searching for the “highlights.” We just have no idea why people would be searching PornHub so desperately for Daenerys Targaryen clips…
Nope. No idea at all.
