What’s On Tonight: ‘Zoo’ Is Back And The Animals Are In Control

Zoo (CBS, 9:00/10:00 p.m.) — We couldn’t be more excited that Zoo is back. Is this show all kinds of batsh*t crazy? Duh, it’s about different species of animals banding together to initiate the fall of mankind and attempt a global takeover. But a bit of crazy isn’t such a bad thing when it comes to summer TV. Season two kicks off with the team trying to rescue Jamie, who’s been hiding out in some kind of compound with a strange man and her pet leopard — the one with the DNA that might hold the key to curing this whole animal crisis. Later, a shocking mutation is discovered which puts one of the team members at risk. Our money’s on Jackson. The guy got a pretty nasty baboon bite last season that was never checked out.

Jaws of the Deep: Sharkopedia Edition (DSC, 8:00 p.m.) — Shark Week is officially in full swing. Discovery Channel is going big tonight as it sends two submarines deep into the waters off the coast of Mexico to hunt one of the largest great white sharks on record. Hey, maybe it’s the same one that gave Blake Lively such a hard time recently.

Hotel Hell (Fox, 8:00 p.m.) — Gordon heads up north to visit a poorly run hotel that’s been neglected by its owner and her son.

Pretty Little Liars (Freeform, 8:00 p.m.) — Ali’s condition worsens, prompting the girls to grow suspicious of Elliot. Meanwhile, Liam, Aria and Ezra work on their book together and Emily receives a disturbing phone call.

U.S. Olympic Trials: Swimming finals (NBC, 8:00 p.m.) — We’re powering through these swimming trials. Tonight’s events include finals in the men’s 200m free and 100m back, and the women’s 100m breast and 100m back.

America’s Got Talent (NBC, 9:00 p.m.) — Cue the auditions. Another crop of wannabe stars perform for the judges.

Animal Kingdom (TNT, 9:00 p.m.) — J makes some concerning discoveries about his mother’s estrangement from the family as Pope’s birthday approaches. Smurf continues to make sure the boys are playing by her rules.

Containment (CW, 9:00 p.m.) — Leo’s getting closer to unraveling the conspiracy behind the outbreak while Lex is concerned for his friend, Dr. Lommer.

Coupled (Fox, 9:00 p.m.) — A game of truth or dare tests one couple’s relationship, and the arrival of a new bachelor prompts two women to go to extreme lengths in order to win him over.

Dead of Summer (Freeform, 9:00 p.m.) — The series premiere of this teen drama follows seven counselors as they begin working a (haunted?) summer camp set to reopen after many years vacant. The lone counselor who didn’t attend Camp Stillwater as a child starts to get some creepy vibes from the place.

Uncle Buck (ABC, 9:00/9:30 p.m.) — After Mike gets in trouble for pulling a risky stunt to attract more followers to his YouTube channel, Buck throws him a “going to jail” party. Later, Buck tries to balance helping Tia, Miles and Maizy with their personal crises while watching a Bulls game with his friends.

Feed the Beast (AMC, 10:00 p.m.) — Dion gets life-changing news and Tommy struggles through Rie’s birthday.

Tosh.0 (Comedy Central, 10:00 p.m.) — In which Tosh reveals the identity of the Pasadena Piper; frolics in the autumn mist with a magic dragon; and bids farewell to a clueless sports prognosticator.
