A Melbourne-based burger chain wants to feed you one burger a day for the rest of your life. Sound enticing? No gluttony or heroic feats required. All you need to do is swing by town hall in Melbourne and legally change your last name to “Burger.” As long as your name stays that way, you get fed.
Mr. Burger is a well established burger joint around Melbourne that has four restaurants, one hell of a menu, and a food truck that pops up around the city. They’re no strangers to contests either, with recent competitions sending contestants on a free trip to the U.S. For this go-round, Mr. Burger wants to give you a burger of your choosing for an entire year all you need is certification of that change from the Aussie government and to email a copy of the confirmation of the name change to Mr. Burger. They’ll even re-pay you the $104 fee, once the deed is done.
According to the company’s website, there is no limit for the amount of potential winners. The more Mr. and Ms. Burgers, the better. If you already have the last name and you think you’ve found a loophole, think again. Anyone who already has the name will be gifted a few coupons and vouchers, but can’t be included in the overall name-change contest.
