July 4th Weekend Preview: ‘Dark Matter’ Returns On Syfy And ‘Preacher’ Has A Revelation

Preacher (AMC, Sunday 9:00 p.m.) — Jesse finally has a face to face with Deblanc and Fiore as he discovers more about the mysterious entity that’s inhabited his body and given him all of his super cool (kind of creepy) powers.

Dark Matter (Syfy, Friday 10:00 p.m.) — In the season two premiere, the members of the crew awaken to find themselves prisoners on a Maximum Security Galactic Detention Facility.

Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular (NBC, Monday 8:00 p.m.) —  Kenny Chesney, 5 Seconds of Summer, Meghan Trainor and the Radio City Rockettes are slated to perform at Macy’s 40th annual pyrotechnic event.

Deadliest Sharks: Sharkopedia Edition (DSC, Friday 8:00 p.m.) — Get ready to learn all about the world’s deadliest sharks (and to never go near open water again).

U.S. Olympic Trials: Swimming Finals (NBC, Friday 8:00 p.m.) — Races tonight include the women’s 200 m breath and 100 m free and the men’s 200m IM and 100m back.

Killjoys (Syfy, Friday 9:00 p.m.) — Season two begins as Dutch and Johnny travel to an outlaw-only barter town to steal a high tech shield from the Connaver gang that they hope may help them finally rescue D’avin from Arkyn.

Jungle Shark: Sharkopedia Edition (DSC, Saturday 8:00 p.m.) — Scientists study bull sharks in Costa Rica who have the ability to evade the crocodiles that are native to the area and how this could be used to create a shark repellent for humans.

Angel from Hell (CBS, Saturday 8:00/8:30 p.m.) — It looks like CBS is resurrecting Jane Lynch’s comedy series (at least for this slow summer TV season) by airing some leftover episodes. First, Amy must perform 10 good deeds to earn back her wings. Later she’s appointed guardian of Allison and Brad, after Allison accidentally kills Brad’s angel, a honey bee.

Hell on Wheels (AMC, Saturday 9:00 p.m.) — Mickey’s got blood on his hands after doing a dirty deal with Durant. Meanwhile, Campbell’s return to town complicates things for Louise.

U.S. Olympic Trials: Track and Field; Swimming (NBC, Sunday 7:00 p.m.) — Track and field trials in Eugene, Oregon, and swimming trials in Omaha. Day 3 in Eugene has finals in men’s and women’s 100m and 400m; women’s high jump; men’s long jump and decathlon. Swimming concludes with the women’s 50m free and men’s 1500m free.

Celebrity Family Feud ( ABC, Sunday 8:00 p.m.) — It’s the AFC vs. the NFC as NFL players from various teams tackle the surveys (and possibly each other).

Big Brother (CBS, Sunday 9:00 p.m.) — Jozea’s gone, but there are plenty of other house guests to put up on the chopping block. Tonight, nominations for the next eviction are revealed.

Ray Donovan (Showtime, Sunday 9:00 p.m.) — Ray protects Hector from a person from his past who holds a secret that could threaten his boxing career. Meanwhile, Det. Muncie uses incriminating evidence to force Ray’s hand which pushes him in even deeper with the Russian mob.

The $100,000 Pyramid (ABC, Sunday 9:00 p.m.) — It’s Ana Gasteyer vs. Rachel Dratch and Robin Roberts vs. Mario Cantone tonight.

The Last Ship (TNT, Sunday 9:00 p.m.) — Chandler confronts a new adversary as Slattery makes a new discovery about the viral mutation.

Match Game (ABC, Sunday 10:00 p.m.) — Adam Goldberg; Ana Gasteyer; Horatio Sanz; Rosie O’Donnell; Sherri Shepherd; and Tituss Burgess join the panel tonight.

Ride With Norman Reeduss (AMC, Sunday 10:00 p.m.) — Reedus journeys from Austin to San Antonio.

Roadies (Showtime, Sunday 10:00 p.m.) — The band puts on a disastrous show and the brunt of the blame lands on Bill’s shoulders.

The Jim Gaffigan Show (TV Land, Sunday 10:00 p.m.) — Jim learns what public perception means when he’s forced to take control of his own PR.

WWE Monday Night Raw (USA, Monday 8:00 p.m.) — WWE Champion Dean Ambrose has big plans for Raw’s 4th of July special and Seth Rollins has big plans to spoil those big plans.

Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular (CBS, Monday 8:00 p.m.) — Demi Lovato, Nick Jonas and Little Big Town join host Nancy O’Dell at the 43rd annual Independence Day celebration with the Boston Pops.

Houdini & Doyle (Fox, Monday 8:00 p.m.) — The finale sees the team investigating a minister in a small Ontario town who awakens one day to find all dead and no sign of violence.

Idris Elba: No Limits (DSC, Monday 10:00 p.m.) — Idris Elba is testing his limits with a show that follows him as he competes in a series of races on land, by sea and in the air. First up is an Irish circuit race.

UnReal (Lifetime, Monday 10:00 p.m.) — Jeremy and Rachel’s relationship causes problems on set as Quinn bonds with the network’s new owner and Coleman invites Rachel to the Impact Awards in order to win her loyalty.
