This Cocktail Is Made Out Of Cotton Candy And Gold (Just As Nature Intended)

Talk about posh sips. The Sugaire Cotton Candy Rose Gold Infusion is no ordinary cocktail. And by extension, you will definitely look anything but ordinary as you’re sipping the glittery, bubbly drink.

The first ingredient is gourmet cotton candy, which says a whole lot to begin with. The (organic, gluten-free, vegan) cotton candy in question is from Sugaire, a company founded by Yasmeen Tadia, as a means of offering her young son a “reasonably healthy candy alternative.” Right now, Sugaire is available for purchase in Dallas or for delivery via their website. Tadia hopes to develop Sugaire into a franchise in the future.

The flavor used in the drink is Sugaire’s rose gold-infused cotton candy, which is then topped with a sprinkling of gold dust and combined with San Pellegrino sparkling water. According to Grubstreet, the entire drink contains less than a teaspoon of sugar, which is definitely not the worst thing in the world.

You might have noticed that the Sugar Cotton Candy Rose Gold Infusion is, in fact, alcohol-free. But it doesn’t have to be that way! One post on Sugaire’s Instagram account recommends combining the rose gold Sugaire with “your favorite sparkling drink!” Their recommended combo is sparkling white grape juice, but we imagine the rose gold cotton candy wouldn’t taste out of place in champagne. Preferably Cristal.

More of a coffee drinker? No worries, Sugaire has the solution for you, too: just combine a puff of dulce de leche-flavored Sugaire with coffee for another favorite infusion.

Are cotton candy-infused cocktails the drink of the future? Maybe, maybe not. For now, the potential is out there. And with 11 more flavors available for purchase — including sea salt caramel, birthday cake, and spicy mango chili — the possibilities for sugary-sweet (kosher, dye-free) drink combinations are endless.
