Tony Ferguson def. Landon Vannata via d’arce choke submission (round 2). Ferguson was supposed to come in and smash his way through Vannata, who took the fight on short notice, but “Lando” came in guns a-blazin’, and had Ferguson doing everything he could to survive. This was a seriously gutsy performance, and “Lando” made a ton of fans tonight. Ferguson’s won eight fights in a row, so he rightfully called out lightweight champ Eddie Alvarez, but Ferguson probably needs that Khabib-type win if he’s going to get a title shot.
