Back in May, reports surfaced that WWE Superstar Ryback was sent home from television due to contract disputes. The Big Guy requested to wait out the remainder of his obligations off of television, and penned a lengthy explanation as to why. He aired all of his grievances in a tumblr (yes, tumblr) post, and detailed his opinions on how Superstars should be compensated. This garnered him support from a few fellow performers, but widened the gap between him and higher ups.
As the expiration date of his contract approaches, Ryback is giving fans an update as to when he’ll be back in action:
Update for the good ones. One month left for nose before I resume wrestling/jiu jitsu/boxing regimen for return. Ear get cleared in 6 days

For weights. Contract up August 8th or Oct 17th depending on certain circumstances. The future is going to be great! #FeedMeMore

He doesn’t elaborate on the “certain circumstances,” and the time frame estimate could have probably been better served by one giant shrug emoji, but it’s still … something. The recovery in question is this gnarly-looking surgery on his nose earlier in the month. Even if the estimate ends up being on the longer side, it still gives him plenty of time to get back in shape, and pick on his favorite Twitter target, CM Punk.
In the meantime, Ryback is working on a series of ‘Feed Me More’ brand nutritional supplements, as well as a motivational book to help you get out there and be the biggest, hungriest, best human Ninja Turtle-looking dude you can be.
