What’s On Tonight: ‘Drunk History’ Gives Us A Trippy Season 4 Premiere

Drunk History (Comedy Central, 10:30 p.m.) — Season four kicks off with a look at LSD guru Timothy Leary, who organizes a prison break for himself. We also learn about a sailor who attempted a bold rescue from somewhere called Devil’s Island and a baker who kept his cool while the Titanic was sinking thanks to his trusty bottle of whiskey.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine (Fox, 8:00 p.m.) — A questionable new captain takes over the precinct as Jake and Holt plot an attack against Figgis.

Dancing With the Stars (ABC, 8:00 p.m.) — Florida Georgia Line and Fitz and the Tantrums perform, as we get the results from last night’s Face Off dance challenge.

NCIS (CBS, 8:00 p.m.) — The team investigates a death at a Quantico reunion and ends up uncovering a bomb plot and a long-running theft ring. Meanwhile, Torres and Quinn adjust to life on Gibbs’ team, including new seating arrangements in the squad room.

The Voice (NBC, 8:00 p.m.) — You guessed it. More blind auditions.

WWE SmackDown (USA, 8:00 p.m.) — AJ Styles tries to hold on to his title as he battles former champion Dean Ambrose.

New Girl (Fox, 8:30 p.m.) — New Girl gets political tonight when Jess and Cece bet Schmidt that they can round up voters for the upcoming presidential election while Winston teaches Nick the intricate subtleties of good phone sex.

Bull (CBS, 9:00 p.m.) — Dr. Bull (a name we refuse to take seriously) must create a new defense for his client, a female pilot facing gender bias after she’s accused of negligence following a plane crash.

Scream Queens (Fox, 9:00 p.m.) — Chad is back! The dumb jock is hoping to win over Chanel again, but ends up uncovering a disturbing secret about Brock. Meanwhile, a patient with a terrible ailment checks into the hospital hoping for a cure, but finds a new love interest instead and Munsch has another encounter with the killer, forcing her to recruit a helping hand.

Aftermath (Syfy, 10:00 p.m.) — In the series premiere of this apocalyptic new Syfy series, a married couple and their three children attempt to survive the end of the world — and the catastrophic weather and paranormal beasts that come with it.

Atlanta (FX, 10:00 p.m.) — FX can recognize when it’s got a hit on its hands, which is probably why Donald Glover’s new series already has a second season order (we’re only five episodes in). If you haven’t started watching, tonight’s the time to tune in. Justin Bieber’s making an appearance.

Halt and Catch Fire (AMC, 10:00 p.m.) — Cameron and Donna fight about the future while Gordon has a crisis of conscience, and Joe and Ryan deal with the consequences of Joe’s decision.

Ink Master (Spike, 10:00 p.m.) — Team Peck fights for control as the artists test their contrasting skills in the Flash Challenge.

NCIS: New Orleans (CBS, 10:00 p.m.) — Pride faces backlash from the FBI after helping a former Navy intelligence analyst who is the prime suspect in a multiple-homicide case.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (ABC, 10:00 p.m.) — Ghost Rider’s still wreaking havoc, forcing Daisy to battle him one-on-one, but at a big cost while Coulson meets the new director, who has a bold vision for the future of S.H.I.E.L.D.

This Is Us (NBC, 10:00 p.m.) — It’ll be interesting to see where this show goes after the premiere episode’s “twist” ending. Tonight, Toby helps Kate to relax in the midst of her weight loss journey; Randall adjusts to having his biological father back in his life while Kate worries about the man’s true motivations; Rebecca and Jack feel a strain in their relationship; and Kevin faces the consequences of quitting his job.

Tosh.0 (Comedy Central, 10:00 p.m.) — In which Tosh looks at why anesthesia and camera phones are a bad match.
