You should know that when you eat at a massive, nationwide chain restaurant (especially of the fast-casual kind), you’re playing a dangerous game. Anytime that much food is that widely distributed, probability says that some horrifying screw-up of food handling is more likely to occur than with one food delivery to a local restaurant. Packers tight end Jared Cook experienced the horrors of large-scale food service himself at a Buffalo Wild Wings.
This happened Tuesday when I went to eat @BWWings How Sway? How? 😷 pic.twitter.com/8T8aSaKrZ7

What else can you say to receiving a full, fried chicken head — COMPLETE WITH BEAK — other than GAAAHHHHH. On some level, you can understand how this could pass through a couple pairs of eyeballs without getting caught. Miss the beak, and the head is sort of shaped like a chicken wing. On the other hand, OH GOD IT’S A BEAK AND HOW CAN A FRIED EMPTY EYE SOCKET STARE BACK AT ME SO HAUNTINGLY GET IT AWAY.
Interestingly, Cook said this happened to him on Tuesday, but he only tweeted it out Friday morning. How would he explain that gap? Was he attempting to recoup something from B-Dubs privately, only to have them stonewall his customer-service claims? We’d like to think he did, and that he gave up and said, “You know what? I’m tired of being Mr. Nice Guy. Now the whole world’s gonna know about this!”
Well, we heard you Jared. We heard you loud and clear.
Buffalo Wild Wings released this statement in regard to the story:
Buffalo Wild Wings takes food preparation, service and quality extremely seriously and we are looking into this situation. We’ve reached out to Jared Cook and our suppliers for more information.
We eagerly anticipate the exciting conclusion of #BeakGate16.
