Here is a video of the bell tower at the University of Wisconsin-Madison playing the Game of Thrones theme. This is very cool and many outs are to be shouted to Lyle Anderson, the university’s carillonneur, who has been at UW-Madison for 30 years and apparently really, really deserves a raise.
But.
If this leads to students running around campus decapitating each other with giant swords and/or dragons blacking out the sun with their wings and terrorizing pimply-faced high school students who showed up for a guided tour, there will be blood on his hands. It’s a slippery slope, that’s all I’m saying. Kind of like the time the band at Stanford played the score from Jurassic Park and 50 velociraptors ran into the stadium and started attacking spectators. I remember it like it was yesterday. There was so much blood.
Either way, he still deserves that raise.
