As the terrorist Abu Nazir on the critically-acclaimed and Emmy-winning Showtime hit Homeland, Navid Negahban has proven beyond the shadow of a doubt that he can play a terrorist. But then a quick scrolling through his IMDB page also reveals that he has plenty of experience playing a certain type, between his movie and TV roles and even the voice work that he does for some of the biggest video games like Call of Duty: Black Ops II and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. Seriously, he was great as “Farsi Thug.”
Now, though, Navid has teamed up with Funny or Die to give back to up-and-coming Arab actors by offering them some advice on how to properly play a terrorist in today’s Hollywood. It’s both parts funny and awkwardly true.
