Meet Zion Williamson, a 16-year-old junior at Spartanburg Day School in Spartanburg, South Carolina. According to the 2018 ESPN 60, Williamson is the third-ranked prospect in the country, behind Phoenix’s Marvin Bagley III and Romeo Langford of New Albany, Indiana. If you’re unfamiliar with high school basketball rankings, don’t worry. This just means that Williamson is very, very good at basketball, and at 6-foot-7, 230-lbs., he could be a force to be reckoned with when he gets to college. That’s why 27 schools, including Kansas, Kentucky, UNC, and Louisville, have already offered him scholarships. (Duke isn’t on the list, but he has met Coach K.)
As you can see in the video above, Williamson is like a man among ants on the basketball court. Just look at No. 5’s reaction after Williamson steals the ball and takes it the other way for an easy dunk:
And then stare in awe at this ridiculous exchange:
If you’re impressed, you’re hardly alone. For starters, here’s former NBA player Dorell Wright taking notice:

More importantly, NBA superstar Steph Curry showed Williamson some love, too…
yooo! And that's against my Own dang HS too! https://t.co/KMovMqbvCg

… and Williamson knows how cool that is.

For a more in-depth look at Williamson’s dominance, here are the highlights from Spartanburg’s Tuesday win over Cardinal Newman. Williamson scored 42 of his team’s 80 points and chipped in 13 rebounds. He’s pretty darn good at basketball.
