Houston saw unexpected history play out when Nikolay Veretennikov met Clovis Hancock in the Legacy Fighting Alliance cage Friday night. Before the AXS TV battle that would change lives forever, Veretennikov and Hancock were unknown newcomers to the sport. But, after this capoeira kick by Hancock, both men (mostly Hancock) would be etched into the halls of MMA lore, never to escape. This is, without a doubt, the worst spinning kick of all time.
Please watch. Astonishing.

As you can see, Capoeira is a risky form of martial art that is usually best left to Eddy Gordo in Tekken. Very few professional MMA fighters have been able to pull off such high-level spinning sh*t, and even fewer have made a career out of it. Edson Barboza comes to mind, hence, why Caposa referenced him in the tweet. He’ll live in infamy for his spinning heel kick highlight that’s considered one of the greatest UFC highlights ever. Hancock will live in infamy for whatever this was.
Ultimately, Hancock was finished in round 3 via head kick KO. He is now 2-2 in his fight career, and just has to redeem himself.

This continues a trend in LFA, where spinning attacks continue to wow viewers and combatants alike.
