What’s On Tonight: Bill Nye Is Here To Save The World And ‘Girlboss’ Premieres

Girlboss (Netflix) – Netflix’s latest original is a half hour dramedy and loose (very loose) adaptation of the story of Sophia Amoruso, founder of online fashion juggernaut Nasty Gal and author of the book #Girlboss. The show follows Amoruso (Britt Robertson) and her journey from a penniless 20 something in San Francisco to CEO of a multi-million dollar company. Sure, she’s a jerk and a stereotypically entitled young adult so there’s no real empowerment angle here, but it’s still fun watching Robertson play a mean girl who gives zero f*cks.

Bill Nye Saves The World (Netflix) – Bill Nye is here to save the world from science deniers (a.k.a. Republicans and your estranged relatives living in the woods of West Virginia) with his new talk show on Netflix. Don’t expect the same kid friendly scientist you’re used to. Nye is pissed off and ready to prove how ignorant Trump supporters are with help from experts, celebrities and his own scientific experiments.

The Blacklist (NBC, 9:00/10:00 p.m.) – The Blacklist returns with the task force hot on the trail of Dembe, who is forced to risk everything as Red closes in. Later, Red faces off against an enemy determined to annihilate his criminal empire.

MasterChef Junior (Fox, 8:00 p.m.) – The season’s first mystery box challenge is here and the cooks are tasked with preparing favorite family dishes.

Superstore (NBC, 8:00 p.m.) – Cheyenne’s fiancé begins working at the store and Glenn orders a spring cleaning that lets Amy and Garrett snoop around.

Powerless (NBC, 8:00 p.m.) – Supervillain Dr. Psycho releases a toxic gas in Charm City forcing the team to cancel their company retreat and hole up in the Wayne Security offices.

Scandal (ABC, 9:00 p.m.) – Olivia and the team try to take down Peus but lose someone in the process as the Electoral College vote nears.

Kicking & Screaming (Fox, 9:00 p.m.) – New alliances cause tension amongst the group as a food challenges forces some contestants to make tough choices.

The Amazing Race 29 (CBS, 9:00/10:00 p.m.) – Weird sh*t is going down Zanzibar and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Later, the teams must build a 13 story bonfire in Norway.

Lip Sync Battle (Spike, 10:00 p.m.) – Kate Upton does her best Britney Spears impression as she faces off against Ricky Martin.

The Catch (ABC, 10:00 p.m.) – Alice receives a blast from the past when an old friend resurfaces in needs of her help.
