Russell Westbrook Watched ‘Sister Act 2’ Instead Of Game 1 Of The NBA Finals

Kevin Durant put on a huge Game 1 performance for the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals. It made many think about Russell Westbrook and wonder what he thought about his former teammate playing in the Finals without him.

Many speculated he wasn’t enjoying himself.

But don’t worry about Westbrook. He had himself a great time on Thursday night. In fact, we know he wasn’t watching the Finals at all. Thanks to his Instagram story we know exactly what he was watching: Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit.

We also know it wasn’t just a quick flip through the channels during commercials, either. Westbrook posted multiple times about the movie, singing his way through the Whoopi Goldberg sequel with a familiarity that indicates this isn’t his first viewing of the 1993 film.

Seriously, he posted a few different videos of him singing along, clearly throwing a bit of shade that anything important is happening in the basketball world. He wasn’t the only one not paying attention to the game, though.

What Westbrook missed over on ABC was a game that, well, at least it was super interesting during a sloppy first quarter. He definitely missed some dunks, and Durant finished with

He also missed Rihanna throwing shade at Durant, something he probably would have enjoyed. Oh well. I wonder what 90s movie he picks to watch on Sunday night. Netflix has plenty of options if HBO Go lets him down.
