Antonio Brown Reportedly Has A Torn Muscle In His Calf And May Miss The Rest Of The Regular Season

Roughly an hour after making history by being the first player in NFL history to have five straight seasons of 100+ catches, Antonio Brown went down with a calf injury. It wasn’t considered serious at first, with reports coming out that it was bruised, but Adam Schefter has reported that Brown suffered a tear and may miss the next few weeks. In the video above, you can see his leg slam off a Patriots defender.

Even with a controversial loss on the final play against the Patriots on Sunday, the Steelers are still locked into a playoff spot, and should be able to get Brown back for the Wild Card matchup, but a best-case scenario would be for the Steelers to get a bye so everyone can rest up. For Fantasy players, this is a death knell. A season full of injuries refuses to let up as Brown exits a week before the fantasy football finals. Terrible.

Brown is considered by far the best wide receiver in football, and beyond his consistency, he can break a big play from anywhere on the field, and is now finished after an injury-riddled, but still All-Pro 2017.
