Khabib Nurmagomedov Is Back To Wrestling Bears, Because Of Course He Is

Last year, Brandon shared the video of undefeated UFC lightweight fighter, Khabib “The Eagle” Nurmagomedov, wrestling a bear when he was nine years old. It was adorable and fantastic and one of the most Russian things ever (despite taking place in Dagestan). Now, Khabib has reunited with his old training partner for another awesome video of a dude grappling with a bear. It looks like Khabib has improved a lot in the seventeen years since the first video was filmed.

Unfortunately, despite Khabib’s prowess in bear wrestling (Which means he should do everything in that video in the cage) it’s going to be some time before Nurmagomedov gets another fight. He was scheduled for a July 16th showdown with Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, but June 28th through July 28th is the Islamic month of Ramadan, which requires fasting from dawn to sunset. This probably makes training a significant issue (Though it might help cutting weight?), so don’t expect to see “The Eagle” slamming dudes until August or September. Whenever or wherever he fights next, though, I’ll be there with my own papakha, cheering on this bear-wrestling monster.
