Chicago Bears Teammates Martellus Bennett And Kyle Long Are Having A Childish Twitter Fight

The Chicago Bears just completed one of the most embarrassing seasons in franchise history. Granted their 5-11 record was not historically bad, but the season was filled with stories of players losing faith in their coach, offensive coordinators making negative comments to the media and then crying about it afterwards, players skipping practice to open BBQ restaurants, and at one point in mid-season they gave up over 50 points in back-to-back games which was the first time that had happened since 1923. So yeah, it’s a season Bears fans won’t soon forget, while of course wishing they could. Can someone please cue up a twitter fight between starting TE Martellus Bennett and OG Kyle Long? Oh goodie!!!

On Sunday, Long published a tweet indicating he had discovered Bennett was no longer following him on twitter, so he announced he was unfollowing back.

This is all very important and not at all childish. On Tuesday morning, Bennett finally responded.

Wait a second, he wasn’t done.

When the book is written on the 2014 Bears, can this story be included or are we starting the book on 2015 already? Personally I’d prefer this to be a nice final chapter for 2014.
