Tony Parker continued to regain his form Sunday as he went off for a season-high 32 points to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 116-105 win over the Chicago Bulls. No two points were prettier than this nifty spin move and lay-in that left Aaron Brooks floundering.
It gave Tim Duncan – who failed to make a field goal for the first time in his illustrious 18-year career – something to smile about while he was sitting on the bench.
Parker has been hampered all season by a nagging hamstring injury but has recently found his groove during the Spurs’ current five-game win streak. Over the last three games, he’s averaged 25 points (on 64.6 percent shooting), four assists, and three steals. If the Spurs want any chance of surviving the Western Conference Playoff gauntlet, they’ll need Parker at the top of his game.
