This video more or less speaks for itself. The presumably self-nicknamed Salad Santa counts down his list of the 10 best hairdos and flows for the 2015 Minnesota State High School All Hockey Hair team. Some are better than others, but all of them are special in their own way.
For instance, the hornet’s nest at No. 8. You don’t want to go sticking your finger in this thing because you may not get it back. Even if you do, well, you still just stuck your finger in a dude’s hair. Why would you do that?
Here, we have a young man busting out the feathery look, which is really just a late-season Uncle Jesse from Full House, if you ask me. You have to have confidence to bust this out, but when you have perfect flow like this kid does, confidence should never be an issue.
Of course, no hockey hair list is complete without the traditional mullet, or as I like to call it, Patrick Kane’s playoff beard (because Patrick Kane can’t grow a beard, you see). If you’re from a hockey family, working this at least once in your life is practically a birth right. Just a solid job by this young go-getter.
Which brings me to my favorite, which in a huge upset only came in at No. 3, the blonde highlights. If we don’t eventually see this kid as a Russian movie villain in the future, our lives have no meaning.
I’m a bit disappointed that the “Samurai” pair at the 4:31 mark only got special mention. There’s always next year.
