Another week has come and gone, and it’s finally Friday night. That means one thing, TIME TO FIGHT! There are two solid events with four title fights going on this weekend, so let’s take a look at what’s going down when, where, and how you can watch it.
FRIDAY
Titan FC 33 has an ambitious card on their hands. They are putting on four title fights, but I guess to avoid running over, the bantamweight title is being defended on the prelims as Walel “The Gazelle” Watson takes on undefeated Brett Johns. The prelims will start at 8:30 PM ET on CBSSports.com
The main card will start at 11:00 PM ET on CBS Sports. The lightweight title will be up for grabs between Pat “Bam Bam” Healy and Kurt Kinser, the heavyweight champion will be crowned when Jon Madsen battles Chase Gormley, and Des “The Predator” Green takes on Kurt Holobaugh for the featherweight title. I think all the title fights have potential to be good, but the other fights are mostly filled with unknown prospects. It should still be interesting.
SATURDAY
On Saturday night, we get another dose of UFC action as the biggest organization in combat sports visits Brazil again. The prelims start on Fight Pass at 7:00 PM ET and feature some local prospects. The regular prelims are on Fox Sports 2 starting at 8:00 PM ET. Francisco Trinaldo heads the prelims as he takes on Akbarh Arreola in a lightweight clash.
The main card is on Fox Sports 1 starting at 10:00 PM ET. Andre Fili squares off against Godofredo Pepey in what should be a fun featherweight clash, Amanda Nunes takes on Shayna Baszler at bantamweight and the co-main event is Erick Silva taking on Josh Koshcheck at welterweight. The main event will also be a welterweight bout as undefeated, rising prospect Ryan LaFlare faces BJJ ace Demian Maia.
The fights should be fun, and expect to see plenty of moths flitting around.
