It’s been a while since the Winnipeg Jets have made it into the playoffs – 19 years to be exact. So it should be no surprise that fans are getting into things, with this upstanding gentleman pouring an entire beer over his head during the Sportsnet broadcast of Game 3 versus the Anaheim Ducks.
Alas, his display of local team fervor was for naught as Winnipeg ended up losing that game 5-4 in overtime, putting the Jets down 3-0 in the series and setting them up for elimination this Wednesday. By my estimate, it will take at least 50 more hosers going out fer a rip and pouring cheap beer on their head to save their team from an embarrassing sweep.
At least these Winnipeg fans are only pouring beer on their own heads. Further east we’ve got Montreal Canadiens and Ottawa Senators fans pouring beers on each other and brawling in the stands. Come on, guys. What is this, New York? Take a lesson from this polite Winnipeg Jets fan and keep the suds to yourself.
