Kanye West finds himself to be a visionary.

Like other visionaries, if he wants to control all streams of communication and be our supreme overlord by 2020, he has to get on the television. Well, he may be one step closer to that global domination with the news that he’s negotiating a deal with Vice’s new TV network, according to the New York Times.

Taking over the signal for A&E’s H2 Channel, Vice will be programming a new 24-hour channel, and Kanye is said to be in the very early stages of planning a TV series with Academy Award-winning writer and director Spike Jonze, says Capital New York.

West and Jonze have collaborated before, on videos like “Flashing Lights,” “Otis,” and “Only One,” as well as the short film We Were Once A Fairytale.

This new series would be Kanye’s second attempt to get into TV after his HBO pilot, which has been described as Ye’s version of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

That pilot, where he first met Kim Kardashian, failed to be picked up. With everything in perspective, though, he’d probably still consider that project a success.
