Following Donald Trump’s surprise win in the presidential election, many have concerned themselves with his administration picks and whether or not he’d stick to his campaign promises. These are all important questions, to be sure, but what about those long forgotten aspects of the Trump campaign? The countless groups and individuals chewed up and spit out by the New York real estate mogul’s efforts to attain the White House, like former Today correspondent Billy Bush? What’s the ex-television presenter been up to since an old, unflattering Access Hollywood videotape of him and Trump surfaced in early October?
According to the New York Post‘s Page Six, the disgraced television personality may get a second chance thanks to Breitbart News — the same online media organization whose executive chairman, Steve Bannon, was just named chief strategist and senior counselor:
“They are trying to recruit Billy Bush,” said a media insider of Breitbart. “They want to expand covering Hollywood in a big way — and think Billy would be perfect for the job.”
The unconfirmed report suggests Bush, whom NBC cut ties with following the Access Hollywood scandal, is being sought out by Breitbart to enhance its entertainment coverage. Seeing as how the website principally sticks to American political news (and, if you consider Milo Yiannopoulos a technology journalist, technology), Bush’s hiring would essentially kick its “Big Hollywood” blog up a notch. It might even, as Page Six suggests, help the network launch its own television arm.
