Justin Trudeau is giving Matthew McConnaughey a run for his clothing-hating money at this point, as he once again randomly shows up to a location in Canada without a shirt on and grinning from ear to ear. The Canadian Prime Minister, already one of the most gleeful and upbeat world leaders around, found himself accidentally crashing a beach wedding in British Columbia over the weekend. Trudeau was surfing near where the ceremony was set to take place and happened to be walking along the beach just before the bride was about to make her entrance.
Like a true gentleman, Trudeau made his best efforts to step aside and let the bride through without causing any distraction. According to the wedding photographer who captured the moment, Marnie Recker, Trudeau didn’t want to take anything away from the bride’s big day with his accidental presence on the beach.
In response to the criticism that Trudeau seems to be staring blatantly into the camera rather than giving the bride her space, Recker says
“This photo speaks to that one tradition we have across all countries and cultures, of two people coming together to express their love. Justin is not a politician in this photo. He is a human being that is able to celebrate and empathize with others.”
“Fate gave him no choice and he did the only thing he could do but stand there and allow her to pass. He is looking at the camera in some of the photos because I was looking at him and smiling, sharing in the humour of the moment.”
