While most express joy and togetherness during the holidays, this time of year could definitely be a stressful time for some. Case in point: on Christmas Eve, a Seattle bus rider was stabbed multiple times for sitting a bit too close to another passenger. From The New York Daily News:
The incident began when the victim entered a Metro bus and sat beside his attacker, who had gotten on at an earlier stop. He told the victim he should move farther away, Seattle police said.
They began arguing. It turned violent when the attacker drew a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times, police said.
According to KOMO, the attacker fled the scene before the police arrived. Unfortunately, the victim is in critical condition with life-threatening injuries while police still search for the assailant:
Police are now searching for the knife-wielding attacker, who is described as a 40-year-old black man who was wearing a black coat, blue jeans and a black knit hat.
Seattle homicide detectives are interviewing witnesses and working with Metro officials to collect any video evidence that may have been recorded on the bus.
Officials are asking for anyone with information about the stabbing to come forward and called the homicide tip line at (206) 233 – 5000. Hard to think anyone had a worse Christmas Eve than this guy.
