Donald Trump To Dr. Oz: I’m So Healthy, I feel The ‘Same Age’ As Tom Brady

Cher’s complaints notwithstanding, everyone knew Donald Trump’s appearance on Thursday’s The Dr. Oz Show was happening. After all, both the Trump campaign and Sony Pictures Television excitedly announced the daytime television event last week, and audience members from Wednesday’s taping were more than willing to share details the day before it finally aired. Now that all major markets on the East Coast have witnessed Dr. Mehmet Oz’s exclusive interview with the Republican nominee, what’s the major takeaway?

“Too many to count” is the correct answer, but for now we’ll content ourselves with Trump’s belief that he looks and feels just as young as his good friend Tom Brady. No really, that’s what he said:

OZ: When you look into the mirror, how old is the person you are looking at? What do you see?

TRUMP: I would say I see a person that’s 35 years old. I mean, I feel — I feel the same. I mean, Tom Brady is a friend of mine. We play golf together, the great quarterback. He’s a phenomenal guy, great athlete, and I’m with him, and I feel the same age as him. It’s crazy.

Right. A 70-year-old man whose height (6-foot-3) and current weight (236 pounds) suggest he is medically overweight — albeit slightly — feels “the same age as” New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. Not whenever they creep on Today or run with scissors together, but when they play golf.

If that wasn’t eye-opening (or -closing) enough for you, there’s always Dr. Oz and Trump discussing the presidential candidate’s favorite uber-masculine word: stamina.

He’s got so much of it stored up inside him, Trump claims he feels “as good today as I did when I was 30.” That would mean Trump doesn’t actually feel 35, but whatever. Apples and very-orange oranges.
