Donald Trump got an early start on New Year’s Eve, trolling his “enemies” in typical fashion on Twitter. The president-elect will be spending his night at his Mar-a-Lago Club in Florida, but it seems he is spending his morning tweeting. While it isn’t surprising that Trump would consider people his enemies or that he has an enemies list somewhere, it does seem like an incoming president would hold such information back from Twitter. Not so for President Trump:
Happy New Year to all, including to my many enemies and those who have fought me and lost so badly they just don't know what to do. Love!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 31, 2016
Since most of our political news is now composed of tweets, it is only fitting that the public that will see Trump take office in January should be able to respond to their leader in similar fashion. Here is a small example:
this sounds like something the Joker would say right before releasing a swarm of killer bees into Gotham https://t.co/SyKsCHvyuh

If this is indeed the final Trump tweet of 2016, the president-elect goes out in a fashion that has defined his entire year. It’s a hint that this type of behavior won’t end once he takes office in January and that he is guaranteed to be a president unlike any we’ve seen up to this point.
And as for Trump’s other planned New Year’s Eve activities, it would seem they’re suffering in a similar fashion to his Inauguration plans. Despite earlier reports from the Trump team that Quincy Jones will be attending the event, the soul legend quickly denied that any such plans existed:
Jones’s spokesman, Arnold Robinson, said that he wouldn’t be attending, and didn’t know where Trump’s team got the information.
Jones and Sylvester Stallone were announced for the event by Trump spokesman Sean Spicer. With Jones scuttling the previous announcement, perhaps there’s room for a more musical member of the Stallone family to step in?
