Game recognizes game. After the Lakers lost to the Grizzlies last night, 107-102, they traveled to New Orleans to take on the Pelicans tonight at 8PM ET. The Orange County Register‘s Bill Oram talked to Kobe Bryant about young stud power forward Anthony Davis, and Mamba was effusive with his praise for the 21-year-old Pellies big man.
Kobe set a record last night when he missed his 13th shot of the game, but he’s still No. 6 all-time in made shots as Oram points out:
Back down, shake and bake, turn around… Miss. That's number 13,418 for Kobe Bryant.

The all-time misses record is one of the great stats, I think. Gotta take shots to miss them. Kobe also ranks sixth in NBA history for makes

Kobe also understands what a force The Brow has become already. He knows Davis’ ceiling as a player puts him among the all-time greats at his position and in the game overall. Within that same comment, he also found a way to pay his former teammate, Pau Gasol, a fun back-handed compliment. Kobe can say a lot within a tweet:
Kobe on AD: "He's an athletic Pau Gasol. That's the best way I can put it. He can be one of the greatest power forwards who has ever played"

Can Anthony Davis become one of the greatest power forwards ever?
