Video games have put a lot of badass weaponry in our hands over the years, but nothing has ever been as over-the-top insane as the BFG. No, not that BFG. I’m talking about the legendary Big F*cking Gun. The most powerful weapon in any Doom game, the BFG can quickly lay waste to even the burliest, baddest demons. You can check out the latest model of the BFG in action, above.
Well, thanks to the power of 3D printing, the BFG now exists for real. Bethesda commissioned 3D model-makers My Mini Factory to build a full 1:1 scale version of gaming’s most infamous weapon, and the results are impressive. The end result is over three feet long, a foot-and-a-half tall, weighs nearly 20 pounds and took over 1000 hours of 3D printing to produce. Dang! Of course, the BFG doesn’t actually shoot anything, but until demons actually invade Earth, that’s probably for the best. You can check out footage and a few shots of Bethesda’s ridiculous new toy, below.

Y’know, I’m just going to say it – that weapon looks a little impractical. I call it like I see it, man. The latest entry in the Doom series, which is pretty darn good, by the way, is in stores now.
